I giorni delle nomination: ecco quelle di DGA e BAFTA (An Education, per ora, batte tutti)

UPDATE! Domenica 31 gennaio, ore 9:19 DGA Awards: ha vinto Kathryn Bigelow con The Hurt Locker. 

Arduo compito quello di star dietro a tutti i premi del mondo del cinema: qui a Cinefestival ci proviamo (e vi invitiamo nel caso a segnalarci eventuali 'sviste'...) e dopo i NAACP e i People's Choice Awards di ieri oggi tocca ad altri due riconoscimenti. 

Iniziamo dai DGA Awards, i premi che la Director's Guild of America (associazione che riunisce i registi americani) assegna ogni anno: i cinque registi nominati sono James Cameron per Avatar, Kathryn Bigelow per The Hurt Locker, Lee Daniels per Precious, Jason Reitman per Tra le nuvole e Quentin Tarantino per Bastardi senza gloria (tutti alla prima candidatura tranne Tarantino e Cameron, alla seconda: il primo non vinse con Pulp fiction nel 1994, il secondo trionfò nel 1997 con Titanic).

Il vincitore si saprà il 30 gennaio: dal 1984 ad oggi solo sei volte chi ha vinto questo premio non ha trionfato anche all'Oscar (è accaduto l'ultima volta nel 2002 con Rob Marshall premiato dal DGA per Chicago e Roman Polanski dall'Academy per Il Pianista). Staremo a vedere. 

Ieri è stato anche giorno di pre-nomination per i BAFTA, gli 'Oscar' inglesi: la British Academy of Film and Television Arts ha annunciato la 'longlist' dei candidati, da cui il 21 gennaio saranno scelte le cinquine di nomination e il 21 febbraio i vincitori. 

Guida questa lista con 17 menzioni An Education di Lone Scherfig (la regista danese di Italiano per principianti), film - nella foto a inizio post - che si candida a diventare la sorpresa del 2010, nei premi e al box office. Scritto da Nick Hornby (ma non tratto da un suo libro) è interpretato da Peter Sasgaard e dalla bravissima Carey Mulligan (tutti e quattro 'menzionati', of course, come tutti gli altri membri del cast, tra cui Emma Thompson!). 

Segue in classifica Bastardi senza gloria con 15 menzioni, The Hurt Locker con 12, Avatar e Amabili resti con 11, Moon con 10, Nowhere boy con 6, Clint Eastwood con 5 (tre per Gran Torino e due per Invictus, come regista, produttore e - nel primo caso - anche come attore).
